The Charles K. Stillman Collection contains the personal, educational, and and professional papers of Charles Kirtland Stillman. The professional papers include records from Stillman’s medical career in both the military and as a civillian, including those of his time at the Mystic Home Guard. These papers include membership cards, records of certification, and certificates of membership in professional organizations. The military papers also include ephemera, forms, correspondence, and notes from his service at Camp Wheeler, Georgia. The papers relating to the Mystic Home Guard, part of the Connecticut State Guard, include a notebook kept by Stillman, which details the activities and members of the organization, and his lectures on sanitary conditions. The educational papers include grade reports, graduation programs, catalogs, correspondence, school publications, clippings and yearbooks from Stillman’s years at Cheltenham Military Academy, Brown University, and Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons. The personal papers are comprised predominantly of Stillman’s correspondence, notes, and manuscripts relating to his research on fishing. Of special note is a book containing Stillman’s drawings and paintings of various fish. The portion of the collection also includes scrapbooks concerning fishing and the Stillman family, and Stillman's membership card to the Marine Historical Association.
