Abstract
An abstract of the log from the QUEEN MARY's voyage of March 5-10, 1948 from New York to Southampton. The captain was C.G. Illingworth, and the voyage was made in 4 days, 22 hours and 35 minutes at an average speed of 26.69 knots. On the front is a painting of the QUEEN MARY with smaller craft around it, set on a dark brown background. In 1946-1947, after spending the war years as a troopship, the QUEEN MARY was refurbished for passenger service, and it held the record as the world's fastest passenger ship.
