Records of vessels owned by the museum including schooners BRILLIANT, and L.A. DUNTON, smack EMMA C. BERRY, steamboat SABINO, ship JOSEPH CONRAD, tugboat KINGSTON II, and bark CHARLES W. MORGAN,. The collection consists of three forms of logs; the logbooks, a day to day journal of events on board ship; guest registers, a list of persons on board usually including address, and date; and the work progress log, a dated descriptive records of work accomplished on board by museum staff. Not all Mystic Seaport Museum vessels are represented in the collection nor does the collection, at present, contain complete records or even consecutive records for any particular vessel, as many of these items are either still in use, or filed in alternative locations. Records are grouped by vessel and order chronologically.
