Biography of Roy G. Roberts

Served in the U.S. Merchants Services, achieving the rank of Lieutenant (J.G.) during World War II. His civilian rank after the war was Chief Mate. It appears that he may have been an instructor or student at the training facility at Sheepshead Bay, N.Y. and officer’s training facility at Fort Trumbull, New London, Conn. during World War II at which time the Merchant Service alternated between the War Shipping Department and the U. S. Coast Guard.

Abstract
