Abstract The vessel ran ashore on Fishers Island, NY, on Nov 13, 1912, after mistaking the beacon lights of the stranded schooner MAGGIE ELLEN for those of Little Gull Island and Race Rock, NY. Most of the correspondence deals with compensation for transporting the schooner's cargo of lumber from New London, CT, to New York, NY. She was owned by John B. Phillips, probably of Sag Harbor, NY.
