The dredge EASTERN, owned by Eastern Gravel Corporation of New York, NY, sank off Port Jefferson, NY, on Feb. 2, 1915. The hull was raised but sank again near the Port Jefferson Light. Includes correspondence, telegrams, telephone transcriptions, blueprint, a newspaper clipping, and memorandums regarding equipment disposal and a drowned crewman.
