Biographical / Historical
Eads Johnson (1878-1965) was an author, naval architect and marine engineer in New York City noted for his ferryboat designs. He was the publisher of "Johnson's Marine Manual, A Directory of American-Owned Self Propelled Commercial Vessels" until the 1950's. This register had appeared under various names since circa 1910. Listed were vessel names, owners and statistical data.
