This collection includes blueprints and original drawings created and collected by Howard Merrick Smith, Jr., N.A. A graduate of MIT, he was employed for 38 years at General Dynamic's Electric Boat facility in Groton, Connecticut. The plans represent commercial, fishing, and recreational craft from 1918 to 1966. Smith?s designs date from 1922 to 1956.
