Biographical / Historical
The plans in this collection which were drawn by Mr. Beach date from 1946 to 1966, as published in Sports Afield Boatbuilding Annual and as part of the "How-To-Build" series of articles for Rudder. A small group of copy plans for vessels designed at the office of William Gardner are also included. Mr. Beach worked in that firm immediately at the end of World War II. Mr. Beach's plans reference collection dates as early as the 1880s and includes the sail plan, outboard profile, cabin and deck arrangements, and main saloon plan for Corsair (I) built by the Cramp Shipyard.
