Technically the real name was the New Shoreham Lifesaving Station; Station arrived at Mystic Seaport July 21, 1968 moved by barge by Antone G. Carreiro. Cost to move station and return replica to Block Island $4,800.; Halfway House (part of the Block Island Lifesaving Exhibit) arrived from Cape Cod October 12, 1968 by helicopter and truck.; The Edgerton Foundation based in New Haven.; SEE: The Lookout, April 1972 page 8
