The collection contains 14 pieces in one box. The pieces range from the military appointment of Noyes as Sergeant Major in the Infantry in 1824 to Bills of Sale of shares in whaling and other vessels from 1840 to 1844.

The journals include details of Beebe's life on shore and on fishing and trading voyages, including cargo, daily catch numbers, location of fishing grounds, and various ports of call along the east coast from Key West to Nova Scotia.

Papers, 1880-1963, of Thomas Bowen Lynch. Includes handwritten memoirs, personal journal from the yacht ILEEN, logbook from a sealing voyage as well as personal correspondence and newspaper and magazine articles about Captain Lynch and other maritime subjects.
