Abstract

Correspondence, 1864-1916, among members of the Averill family of Rockland, Maine, discussing family matters and day to day details of the late nineteenth century coasting trade. Primarily contains brief letters to Margaret Averill from her husband, Frank B. Collection also includes letter to Margaret from Frank's brother Cyrus B, and son Albert as well as a few other family members and friends.

Eliza T. Edwards Papers

Abstract

Several of Eliza Edwards letters were saved and are now filed chronologically in the first four folders of the collection. At some time in her life she also composed her "Reminiscences of the Sandwich Islands.", which, along with a typed transcript of the same, follows the correspondence folders. The remainder of the collection consists of three additional legal documents; a deed, mortgage payment receipt, and a death notice.
