Abstract This collection contains approximately 125 pieces and 6 notebooks, kept and compiled by Commodore Percy Chubb II, of the N.Y.Y.C. from 1962 through 1974. These papers are relative primarily to the America's Cup trial races, ie. The observation trials and the final trials, and consists of sailing instructions for these races, crew lists, and race data sheets containing mark times and the order of finish for each trial race. Abstract

Records, 1846-1887, of the schooner ORVILLE HORWITZ. This collection includes paid bills, the protection certificate for Captain Chauncey Kelsey, and other papers. There are also two account books. The first contains the vessel’s accounts for each port and details of the cargos for each trip. The second contains the date when each crew member was hired and their wages for each voyage. It is not clear who kept these records.
