Isaiah Larabee Collection
The Isaiah Larabee Papers contain primarily business papers, correspondence and documents relative to Larabee's maritime career and the ships he commanded.
Jacob Little Papers
Correspondence, business accounts, notes, disbursements, insurance policies, bills, receipts, and shipping papers. Also included material from the Jeffersonian embargo period. Ships represented include ALLIGATOR, OLIVE BRANCH, ARROW, ALFRED, and ROMULUS.
James Lowell Papers
Bills, accounts, receipts and 45 letters relating primarily to the schooner HARMONY, ship ROGER SHERMAN, and brigs NEUTRALITY, PLEIADES, and SARAH, commanded by Lowell in the coastwise and West Indies trades with cargoes primarily of lumber, salt, coal, and coffee. Also includes correspondence with William Health, Lowell's brother-in-law and business partner in the 1850's.
John F. Harden Collection
Chiefly personal, business, and family letters (1849-1877) to Harden. Also includes ship-related bills, accounts, receipts, consular certificates, and general clearances. Topics include Harden's activities as a commander of coasting vessels; his transportation of a locomotive to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; maritime trade; and cargoes, generally lumber. Correspondents include shipowners who engaged Harden as a captain, fellow shipmasters, and business owners.
John H. Brower Papers
This is a collection of chiefly records of Brower Company and its predecessors: Brower & Nelson and Wynkoop, Arthur & Brower, which conducted business (mostly in cotton) on an extensive scale, with interests in as many as 15 vessels at one time.

The John Turner Collection contains nine letters, five of which Turner wrote to his wife, Polly, and four of which concern business matters. Included also are bills of lading, insurance policies, cargo manifests, orders, personal accounts, convoy instructions, and customs documentation including enrollments, receipts, and clearance papers.

This is a collection of correspondence, bills of lading, accounts, receipts, etc. relating to a trading voyage by the sloop POLLY between New York, Copenhagen, St. Petersburg, and Charleston, S.C., and two voyages (1803-1806) of the ship SILENUS, with accounts, manifests, crews' wages, and bills from Antwerp, Amsterdam, the Cape of Good Hope, Cape Town, and New York.
