This collection is composed of plans received individually or in groups small enough that the creation of a distinct collection is not required. This collection will continue to grow and expand as additional plans are received.

The marine insurance policies contained in this collection represent the years following the companies inception, 1802-1808, with the bulk of the policies written in 1806. Policies are arranged by policy number, and clearly follow a chronological pattern.

This is a collection of correspondence, notes, accounts, and insurance claims (Middletown Insurance Company, Norwich Insurance Company), relating to Hall's business activities. Vessels represented include the brig HOPE, sloop LAZY, schooner RESOLUTION, schooner CHARLES, schooner PLANTER and ship GEORGE.
